What is Glass Mode?

Glass Mode is a sensor setting designed to improve tracking on transparent or highly translucent surfaces, such as glass desks and tables, where transparency can make reliable optical tracking more difficult.

Despite its name, Glass Mode is not intended specifically for glass mousepads. Dedicated glass mousepads are generally designed to provide reliable sensor tracking and normally do not require Glass Mode. Using a glass mousepad alone is therefore not a reason to enable this setting.

For normal use, we recommend leaving Glass Mode disabled. If you experience tracking issues on your mousepad or another surface, try the available Lift-off Distance (LoD) settings to determine which setting provides the most reliable performance.

Glass Mode is primarily useful when attempting to use the mouse directly on a transparent glass surface that cannot be tracked reliably with the standard sensor settings.
